An avid nature lover and adventure enthusiast, Lynn Heasley brings her love of life to the classroom setting where she bridges the gap between what students know and what they need to learn by utilizing students' strengths, as well as making the learning relevant and fun. Lynn wholeheartedly embraces individuality, different ways of learning, and student interests with an emphasis on student problem solving and goal setting to promote optimum growth. A teacher of special education since 1997, she also currently teaches reading intervention at Mount View High School. Lynn received her undergraduate in Sociology from High Point University in 1991 and her Masters of Art in Teaching from the College of Charleston in 1997. She is passionate about equality, the environment, human and animal rights and enjoys spending time in her garden, fermenting vegetables, reading, walking with her son and dog, boating with her partner, and then reading some more!
