Audrey Cardwell

Math Teacher

Audrey comes to the Ecology Learning Center with a love for working with students and a deep appreciation for a sense of place and community. Before entering the classroom, Audrey was fortunate enough to work in and with some of the most inspiring communities. From farming alongside students to teaching others how to sail a tall ship Audrey was able to fill her cup up and develop her love for teaching students in unconventional environments. Most recently, she worked at Maine Coast Semester at Chewonki as the math teacher. In addition to teaching, Audrey led canoeing trips on Flagstaff Lake, down the West Branch of the Penobscot, and to the islands found along the Sheepcot River, as well as snowshoeing trips in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
Audrey graduated from Brevard College with a B.S in Mathematics and Environmental Studies and from Mount Holyoke College with a Masters in Teacher Leadership.
In addition to her love of teaching Audrey also enjoys playing a great game of soccer, throwing frisbee for her dog, and spending time with friends.
