Katie is originally from Chicago and grew up speaking both English and Spanish. She has eight years working as a bilingual elementary school teacher and is excited to transition into teaching high school students. Katie and her family have lived all over the United States, including the Midwest, the West Coast, and the South, and are now excited to plant roots in Maine. She loves reading, crafting, and traveling with her family, her husband and three kids. Katie is a Chicago sports fan — except when it comes to football, she proudly cheers for the Green Bay Packers!
