Matthew’s love of music started at the age of four when they began taking piano lessons, and has been developing ever since. Raised in New York and New Jersey, they attended a specialized music school at NYC’s Kaufman Center, where they studied composition as well as played in various orchestras and ensembles. They recently graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies and Classics and has worked as a rowing instructor at Pine Island Camp for the past four years, through which they became a certified Wilderness First Responder. As they enter a new stage in life, they are eager to share their passion for music and teaching with students, and help to build a community centred around independence and care for others.
