A woodworker and educator with a deep love of hands-on learning and cultivating connections to place, Doug is excited to bring that experience and perspective to the classroom.

With degrees from Vermont's Sterling College and Northland College in Wisconsin, he has followed many roads like teaching kindergartners in Turkey to outdoor skills classes and trip-leading for Indiana University. Additionally, for over 25 years Doug has paddled and trekked throughout Maine's woods and waterways as a Registered Maine Guide.

These days you'll find him and family, homesteading, gardening and working in his woodshop here in Unity.
