Jake is from New England and has his roots all across the region. He has earned degrees in Maine (BA, English) and New York City (MA, Sociology), and is working on a third degree (!) back here in Maine (MS, Education). Jake has also spent time studying, working, playing, and exploring in far flung places across the globe - ask him about them and he'll tell you! He's passionate about making things; about good writing; about language; about social theory; about minimizing waste; about basketball; about community; carpentry & woodworking; ultimate frisbee; art; music; lists; semicolons; regular colons: you name it. He feels extremely lucky to be a part of the ELC community and to help all of its members discover and develop their talents. That is his true passion.
